The scienceOS paper index is based on more than 220 million research papers from the Semantic Scholar index. When you ask a question, the answer will be grounded in the abstract, title, and further information about these papers.
How often is the database updated?
The scienceOS paper database is based on the Semantic Scholar index, which is updated every 1-3 weeks. We update the scienceOS paper database every 2 weeks.
What happens when I upload a PDF?
When you upload a PDF to your scienceOS account, the PDF is not shared with other users and will only be accessible in your account.
Can I upload any PDF?
You can upload any PDF with 120 pages or fewer and with a maximum file size of 32MB. Please note that the PDF upload function in scienceOS is optimized for research papers and similar documents.
Can I use scienceOS for free?
Yes, you can use the scienceOS Search for free. Further, when you create a new account, you can ask the scienceOS Assistant a few chat messages for free. Afterwards, the Assistant requires a paid scienceOS plan.
